The
magnificent Mendocino Coast is noted for its spectacular ocean
views and charming Victorian villages dotting the scenic coastline.
Mendocino village is situated on a peninsula and surrounded on three
sides by picturesque wildflower covered bluffs and crashing surf.
Established in the 1850s, many of the New England style Victorians have
been lovingly restored into romantic inns, world class restaurants and
quaint shops. It takes about an hour to stroll the town if you
aren’t lured into shopping along the way. The entire village
of Mendocino is designated as a National Historic District.
Mendocino's weather has the wild and unpredictable nature of most great
beauties! You may start out in a romantic foggy landscape in the
village and emerge into glorious, grape-ripening sunshine once you
drive further inland. Be prepared for both! You can check current
weather conditions below.
