Traveling North

About eight miles north of the MacCallum House and Mendocino is Fort Bragg, a former mill and fishing town with plenty to do. This bustling coastal hub will have you and your family experiencing all the joys of the coast. Fort Bragg has affordable, varied options for all ages.

Looking East

To the east of MacCallum House find the world’s tallest tree and many other gorgeous natural sights, including apple groves, natural hot springs, redwoods, and beautifully winding rivers. Anderson Valley is a favorite and features award winning wine and many tasting opportunities that harken back to a slower paced world with a personal touch. These magical getaway opportunities are just a scenic drive from Mendocino Village.

Heading South

For a drive with gorgeous views, you won’t need to head very far; just head south on Highway 1. The drive features ocean vistas, tiny towns, and even an African wildlife preserve where you can view free range zebras, antelope and even feed giraffes!
